Now that the temperature had dropped below freezing and the weather in the Hoenn region was getting progressively worse, there was a general worry among the people about how much worse it would get. There were already status Orange weather warnings with the potential of Red on the Horizon. It was so bad in fact that many public officials worried about both people and pokemon in the coming weeks.

The shift in weather caused a lot of people to leave the region until things returned back to normal. Their absence seemed to prompt a lot of wild poekmon from surrounding routes to come to the city. While most were feeble young pokemon just looking to escape the cold, many more were far more fearsome and territorial, looking to take over parts of the town for their own use. It naturally caused quite a stir in the neighborhoods and many problems for the people. So much in fact that Jet and a few other people were tasked by taking any wild pokemon that migrated to the town to the local shelter. Some would obviously come a lot easier than others but everyone on the mission was instructed to get any wild pokemon into the shelter through any means. Most people were forbidden on catching any because these pokemon had families and separating them would likely cause even more problems.

People were put in teams of two to carry out the mission. "Hey, I'm Jet." he'd greet rather casually to his partner. The two were still in the city for now with the other groups. They were waiting to be mobilized which would happen rather soon, then they could get to work.
